How do I create a family?

Open the app and tap "Create Family." Enter your name and a family name. You'll get a 6-character invite code that your kids can use to join from their own devices.

How do kids join?

On the child's device, open Coinkids and tap "Join Family." Enter the invite code from the parent's Settings screen. No Apple ID, email, or password is needed.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Coinkids uses anonymous authentication — just open the app and start. Your data syncs across devices automatically via your family's invite code.

Is it free?

Yes. Coinkids is free with no ads, no in-app purchases, and no data sold to third parties.

Is the Bitcoin stuff mandatory?

Not at all. Bitcoin features are completely optional. You can toggle them on or off in Settings. The core chore and earnings experience works perfectly without them.

What ages is Coinkids for?

Coinkids works well for kids ages 5 and up. Younger kids enjoy the gamification and leveling up, while older kids engage more with the earnings tracking and Bitcoin education.

Is my family's data safe?

Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase with encryption in transit and at rest. We don't collect emails, passwords, or personal identifiers. The app uses anonymous authentication, and no data is shared with third parties.

I lost access to my family — what do I do?

If you reinstalled the app or switched devices, your session should restore automatically via iCloud Keychain. If it doesn't, use your family's invite code to rejoin. If you've lost the code, open a support ticket and we'll help.

How do I delete my account and data?

Go to Settings in the app and scroll to the bottom. Tap "Delete Account & Data." If you're the family owner, this will remove all family data. If you're a member, only your data is removed.
